FAQs

Q. Are all levels of yoga welcome at UPLIFT?
A. Yes! We welcome everyone from first time yoga students to full fledged yogis or yoginis.

Q. Should I bring a yoga mat?
A. Yes! Definitely bring your yoga mat as they will not be provided. Please be prepared for other footsies touching your yoga mat - there will be lots of movement as we yoga and dance together.

Q. Is UPLIFT a fundraiser? Where does my money go?
A. Yes. UPLIFT benefits a wonderful cause - UPLIFT Teen Yoga, which brings yoga and mindfulness to teens. You can read more here. UPLIFT Yoga Bash is a very elaborate and expensive event, therefore most of your ticket cost goes towards expenses. The remainder goes straight to the non-profit organization, UPLIFT Yoga Foundation, which funds the UPLIFT Teen Yoga program.

Q. Can I buy my ticket at the door?
A. Our events sell out weeks in advance. If we still have tickets available, you can purchase your ticket at the door. However, the ticket cost will be higher. If you want to ensure a spot at UPLIFT, we suggest purchasing your ticket now.

Q. Are there refunds or exchanges?
A. No refunds will be given for cancellations or no-shows, however tickets are transferable up to 24 hours before the Bash. Please email us at UPLIFTyogabash@gmail.com.

Q. If I cannot attend the Bash, can I still get my gifts after the event?
A. We can only guarantee gifts to yogis who attend UPLIFT and visit registration before the event starts. We will not be able to ship, deliver, or provide a pick-up location for your gifts after the event. If you cannot attend the Bash, please refer to the FAQ question above about transferring your ticket to a friend at least 24 hours prior to the event.

Q. Is there a coat check or a place to store my valuables?
A. There will be room for your shoes or small items, but we do not recommend leaving valuables unattended during the Bash. UPLIFT is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Q. How do I get to Doheny State Beach?
A. The address is 25300 Harbor Drive, Dana Point, CA 92629. Click here for Google Maps.

Q. What is the parking situation?
A. There is a large parking lot at Doheny State Beach. The hourly rate is $6 for the first two hours and then $3 per hour after that, or $15 for an all day ticket. Or display your valid State Parks annual day-use pass to park for free. We strongly suggest to ALL of our guests to carpool. It will cut down on traffic and the environment likes it too. You may also use Uber or Lyft.

Q. Can I bring my kids?
A. If your child can keep up with a yoga dance flow for two hours, then sure! However, our recommendation is to bring your teens and leave the little ones at home.

Q. Will there be food at the Bash?
A. Yes. VIP tickets include tasty hors d'oeuvres. There will also be a variety of Suja Juices and LUNA bars available to all of our yogis at no cost.

Q. Is UPLIFT a substance-free event?
A. It sure is! And it is going to be a blast.
